Apothecare was built to redefine how individuals engage with cannabis as part of their overall health. Rooted in clinical expertise and guided by a deeply human approach, the brand bridges the gap between traditional healthcare and emerging therapeutics, offering a more informed, supportive, and personalized path to well-being.
Working directly with the two co-founding pharmacists, I built everything from the ground up: naming architecture, logo system, colour palette, typography, and tone of voice.
Cannabis as care, not recreation. That distinction drove every decision. We looked to the form factor, the essence, the spirit of cannabis care.
| Digital Signage & Advertising
The brand needed to live beyond the dispensary. I designed a digital signage system deployed across Whole Health pharmacy locations, public health centres, doctor's offices, and clinics. We wanted to meet patients where they already trusted their healthcare.
The campaign had one job: start the conversation. By placing "Ask your pharmacist about cannabis" in clinical settings, we normalized the dialogue and drove new members directly into the Apothecare ecosystem.
The digital program went beyond brand awareness. We developed targeted promotions and events, including a partnership with Inagene Precision Testing Kits, to reinforce the medical-first positioning.
Everything was designed to guide patients toward the right dose and the right strain, backed by data.
| Animated 'Conditions' Campaign
I developed an animated data-driven campaign that confronted real health struggles head-on, using peer-reviewed statistics to validate cannabis as a legitimate treatment option.
The creative used bold numbers and simple motion graphics to let the data speak. No hype. No leaf imagery. Just the kind of evidence-based communication patients actually deserve. Answers that led conversations.
| Traditional Print Materials & Assets
The brand required print that could hold its own in clinical environments. I led the design and production of an 80-page Cannabis Care Informational Guide: a rigorous, pharmacist-authored medical reference manual covering evidence comparisons, dosage forms, drug interactions, and pharmacokinetics.
Beyond the guide, I oversaw the full suite of event and retail print collateral including sidewalk A-signs, direct mail postcards, event posters, and partner mailers. Every piece was designed to convert skeptics into patients.
From speaker series promotions to pharmacy partnership cards, each asset was designed to extend the brand into physical spaces and drive measurable registrations and consultations.
